Reminder: Transition to Digital Certification Milestone Sunset of Physical Wallet Cards Effective June 30, 2025

(Salt Lake City, UT) – The National Wireless Safety Alliance (NWSA) today reaffirmed its commitment to modernizing workforce credentialing. Earlier this year NWSA announced the official discontinuation of physical wallet cards effective June 30, 2025. This move supports the full transition to NWSA’s digital certification system, initially launched in Fall 2024.

The digital certification platform provides NWSA-certified professionals, employers, and clients with instant access to credential information via mobile or desktop devices. Key benefits include enhanced data security, streamlined verification processes, and real-time updates to certification status.

As part of this transition:

  • Physical wallet cards will no longer be issued or available for purchase after June 30, 2025.
  • All Certificants have access to their digital credentials through the NWSA Candidate Portal.
  • NWSA credentials can be verified via the NWSA Candidate Portal at https://nwsa.useclarus.com or through the public verification tool at https://nwsa.useclarus.com/view/verify/. Links to both tools are available on the NWSA web site at https://nws-a.org.

The NWSA Candidate Portal and public verification tool are accessible 24/7 and provide real-time verification of certification status. Individuals without an existing profile in the NWSA Portal may create one at the Candidate Portal link above.

“We understand that this shift represents a significant change for the industry,” said Duane MacEntee, Executive Director of NWSA. “We encourage all telecommunications professionals and organizations to familiarize themselves with the digital verification process. Our goal is to support and promote broad adoption across the industry to ensure continued trust, security, and convenience.”
