Advanced Rigging Concepts Specialty

NWSA recognizes the complexity of work associated with the telecommunications industry. To best support the evolving nature of that work, NWSA is creating specialty certifications that allow Technicians to demonstrate that they possess a unique set of knowledge and skill associated with different types of telecommunication work. The Advanced Rigging Concepts (ARC) specialty is the second certification offered by NWSA. It focuses on the advanced knowledge and skills required to handle and lift loads on standard and non-standard antenna-supporting structures. This is a written specialty exam that focuses on highly advanced technical knowledge above basic/intermediate rigging concepts that includes complex rigging scenarios within construction plans, following the ANSI/ASSP A-10.48 standard. The purpose of this specialty certification is for a subject matter expert, ARC certified individual, to serve as an advanced technical resource within an organization.

To achieve the ARC Specialty certification, a candidate must be NWSA TTT-2 certified.
