Still wanting to stay within the industry, he started at Sioux Falls Tower & Communications, now VIKOR, as a Tower Technician. In this position, he gained an exceptional amount of hands-on experience as he “climbed the corporate ladder” alongside VIKOR’s growth transitioning to a Crew Chief, Project Manager, Reginal Director, and President of the organization.

Wanting to forge his own path, he became the co-founder and CEO of ANCO Underground in 2020. Year over year ANCO Underground has continued to grow and has now become a General Contractor in the Broadband industry and installs hundreds of miles of fiber each year throughout the upper Midwest and Mountain west. Recently ANCO Underground has continued to diversify its service offerings and has expanded into Power and Wet Utilities.

In 2022, Mike returned to the Wireless industry with the acquisition of National Tower Controls which has now been DBA’s to ANCO Wireless. NTC, now ANCO Wireless, was a small tower contractor in South Dakota that specialized in the broadcast industry throughout the upper Midwest. Wanting to diversify as the tower industry has been going thought a transition, ANCO Wireless has also transitioned its services into the Wireless, Utility and Energy industry and intends to have steady year over year growth throughout the future.
