(Salt Lake City, UT) – The National Wireless Safety Alliance (NWSA) congratulates the competitors who participated in the 2026 Tough Tower event, including the many NWSA-Certified professionals who demonstrated their skills throughout the competition.
The annual Tough Tower event took place June 10-12, 2026, in North Jackson, Ohio. NWSA was on site in support of the event, which celebrates the critical importance of safety, training, and technical excellence and professionalism across the telecommunications workforce.
“NWSA is proud to support Tough Tower and to recognize the NWSA-certified professionals who demonstrated their skill, discipline, and safety-first mindset our industry depends on every day,” said Duane MacEntee, Executive Director. “Their performance reflects the value of independent certification and the professionalism of today’s telecom workforce.”
During the event, competitors shared what NWSA certification means to them.
“My NWSA certification represents more than permission to work on a tower; it demonstrates that I have been independently assessed and have the knowledge and skills to perform the job safely,” said Steven Rodriguez of Ram Telecom.
NWSA congratulates the top three teams that placed in the competition, all of which included NWSA-certified professionals.
