Salt Lake City, UT – The National Wireless Safety Alliance (NWSA) is pleased to announce that its Telecommunications Tower Technician 1 (TTT-1) and Telecommunications Tower Technician 2 (TTT-2) trade certification programs have been officially reaccredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB), a wholly owned subsidiary of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). NWSA originally received this prestigious accreditation in June 2020 and is required to undergo a full renewal cycle every five years.
This reaccreditation follows an intensive evaluation process by ANAB, which included a comprehensive review of test data, assessment development and administration, and audits of NWSA’s management systems and psychometric methodologies.
“I am extremely proud of our staff and volunteers for their unwavering commitment and hard work that made this achievement possible,” said Duane MacEntee, Executive Director of NWSA. “ANAB reaccreditation serves as formal recognition that NWSA continues to meet the rigorous international standard of ISO/IEC 17024 which governs organizations that assess and certify professional trade workers.” “The NWSA organization is the product of a broad-based, industry-driven effort centered around the shared commitment to enhancing worker safety and quality,” MacEntee continued. “Our accredited status offers assurance to our stakeholders, including most importantly tower technicians, that our certification programs remain robust, relevant, and reliable.”
