(Salt Lake City, UT) – The National Wireless Safety Alliance (NWSA) announced today that it will implement a zero-tolerance policy for exam environment requirements, effective September 1, 2026.
Beginning on that date, candidates whose testing environments do not meet all established requirements will not be permitted to take their exam.
Exam Environment Requirements
Candidates must comply with the following requirements for the entire duration of the exam:
- Candidates must be alone in a private, enclosed room with a door.
- Any area that offers visibility through the door, door panel, windows, or other opening of the closed room must be covered for the duration of the exam.
- Unless otherwise permitted by exam type, all whiteboards, bulletin boards, chalkboards and/or additional monitor(s) in the enclosed room must be covered for the duration of the exam session.

All ORP exam administrations will follow accepted industry standards to ensure fair and consistent administrations. NWSA administration policies are standardized as much as possible across modalities to ensure a fair, valid, and reliable test administration across all modalities.
