Where can I find a Practical Examiner?
Candidates interested in scheduling a practical examination should visit the NCCCO Open Practical Test Site page in order to review the listing of open practical test sites that offer Rigger and/or Signalperson Practical Examinations. If candidates do not see an open practical test site that is accessible in their respective region of the country, they may hire a practical examiner to come to their workplace or other designated facility.
What is the Role of a Practical Examiner?
NCCO Accredited Practical Examiners are individuals who have been trained to administer the practical examination portion of the certification process. Practical Examiners observe and record the performance of the candidate during the practical examination and report candidate performance to NCCCO for evaluation.

How much does it cost to take a Practical examination?
The cost for a candidate to register and take a Practical examination is $100 per exam. For example, the Practical exam for each certification category (Rigger Level I and Signalperson) would cost the candidate $100 for each unique test. There may also be additional administrative fees that will be assessed by the Practical Examiner to administer the exam.
If I am already a NCCCO certified Rigger and/or Signalperson, can I obtain a NWSA certification card?
Yes, current NCCCO Certified Rigger and/or Signalperson cardholders may request a new NWSA/NCCCO co-branded Certification Card by NCCCO via email at info@nccco.org or by phone at 703-560-2391 ext. 801. There is a $25 fee to purchase a new NWSA/NCCCO Certification card.
